REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene

SCQF Level 7

The course is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles of Food Safety, including food management systems, principles of HACCP etc. It is for those who are responsible for developing and controlling food safety management systems.

  • This course will take place in one of the College campuses. There will be social distancing measures in place please contact us for more information.

Entry Requirements

It is highly recommended that candidates hold an Elementary level Food Hygiene certificate

Course Timetable

3 full days plus 1/2 day for exam


Exams take place on day four of the Course.

The exam will take 2 1/2 hours

The course concludes with an examination, 20 short answer questions, successful completion of which will result in the award of the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) Intermediate Certificate


You will be able to progress to the Advanced Food Hygiene course.
