Course Content
You will be working towards a qualification in Social Services and Healthcare, you will also achieve Core Skills at an appropriate level for this qualification. More specific learning will be around Support effective communication, support the health and safety of yourself and individuals, develop your own knowledge and practice and support safeguarding of individuals. you will also choose some of your own learning with the assistance of your assessor by considering units which suit your needs best.
Entry Requirements
You must be in employment and aged 16 years or over.
We recommend that candidates should have achieved as a minimum standard grades at general level in English, Maths and a science subject.
Candidates should be well presented, committed to the Modern Apprenticeship and able to complete.

Assessments
Assessors attend your place of work on a regular basis, the length of each visit will vary depending upon which assessments are being carried out. Assessors will assess your competency and advise and guide you on any work that may be required.
Assessments take the form of written (using an on-line portfolio) and practical assignments and are integrated throughout the year. Written assessments are carried otu by the candidate under the guidance of their assessor.
