The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 specifies that in Scotland the holder of a personal licence must undergo refresher training within 5 years of the date of their personal licence being issued to ensure their licence remains valid.
Every personal licence holder will be required to produce a certificate to the licensing board that originally issued their personal licence as evidence that they have all passed the Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holders Refresher

A mixture of indoor and outdoor classroom attendance with online tutorials and learning materials.
Rural short courses (accredited). This course is currently delivered as a college certificate short course to young learners, but is adaptable to cover the LANTRA short course requirements for novice operators. Small group of 3 or 4 learners for safety reasons.

You will gain access to a broad range of basic hand fitting competences that will prepare you for entry into the engineering or manufacturing sectors, creating a progression between education and employment, or will provide a basis for the development of additional skills and occupational competences in the working

A mixture of on campus classroom attendance and time-tabled online classes along with online learning materials.
This course provides knowledge essential to the servicing of vehicle air conditioning systems, and also covers the required underpinning knowledge and practical skills for technicians intending to undertake the assessment for refrigerant handling certification. EU legislation requires all technicians involved in the servicing, recharging and repairs to vehicle air conditioning in passenger cars and light vans to be certified to carry out this work.
